Early in the morning, we will drive to the Khan Khenty NP gateway and start riding our horses from there. Local riding guides will accompany you on your journey to ensure your safety.

Khan Khety NP is a strictly protected area located in Khentii aimag (province) considered to be the native land of Genghis khan. A marvelous biome transitioning from the Siberian Taiga forest to the steppes, holds an immense history and culture of the nomads, inscribed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. It still upholds its beauty as described in the earliest surviving literature “The Secret History of the Mongols” narrating the events and lives of the Great Mongolian Empire built by Genghiz Khaan. We will spend the night in a tent camped at a confluence of two rivers.

After breakfast, we will get on our horses and ride along the lush valley of the Tuul River.

Overall, it is very picturesque with many nomadic encampments and their large herds of domestic animals.

The Tuul River otherwise known as Khatan(queen) Tuul by locals originates from the Khan Khentii Mountain range. Over the generations, Mongolians nomads drank from this river and even now the people of the capital city and many other nomads who live by the banks are drinking from the underground supplies o this river.

Looking through different periods of history, civilizations mainly concentrate around river banks because of accessible water. Many historical events took place in here.

Another tented overnight in the pure wilderness of nature.
